Slano

Settled in an untouched nature bay like from most romantic novels surrounded by sea, olive trees, small beautiful coastal villas, friendly and boemic people makes from this village and very desirable resting destination.
Farming, olive-growing, viniculture, fruit-growing, tobacco, fishing and tourism are main occupations and activities for living in this charming village. Slano lies on the main road (M2, E65) and following the road signs it is easy to be found. Yachts and other boats can anchor in the small protected Banja cove here at Slano, and alowing to anyone enjoy on this beauty. Anchoring-ground for larger yachts lies off the entrance in the cove, to the southwest of Cape Gornji.
Slano and it's area near was populated even in early prehistoric period and in ancient times (a Roman castrum on the hill Gradina; early Christian sarcophagi, today exhibited in front of the Franciscan church).
