In order to start the description of Trogir we can only do it if we start from the very beginning. Once up on a time, some 2000 years ago, ancient Greeks founded in the area of nowadays Trogir a colony called Tragurion.
The town of Trogir is one of very rare towns in Dalmatian area the saved its continuity in life . The value of old town of Trogir was recognized by UNESCO, by putting it on its list of world list of protected cultural and historical heritage.
It's rich past helped Trogir to have on bright present and will still help for its even brighter future. Today Trogir is one of the most famous summer resorts in Croatia. Trogir is located in the Split – Dalmatia county, at the west entrance to the bay of Kastela.
The town of Trogir is divided in mainland and island of Ciovo. Mainland and island of Trogir are connected by two bridges. Airport of Split is in a distance of only four kilometers.
Apart from cultural and historical heritage, Trogir is also famous with its beaches, bays, cove, capes like : Vela Riva Cove on the island of Mali Drvenik , Valuje Cave, Krknjesi cove on the island Veli Drvenik.
Trogir is becoming an very important tourist resorts of Croatia, even it is important now, but places as hamlet Baradici in village Seget Gornji with wonders of mother nature and magnificent landscapes over the mid – Dlmatian islands. Trogir has 13000 inhibitions, most of them with the long Trogir living history and tradition.

How to reach Trogir :
Trogir is easy reachable by any sort of transportation, by road, air or sea. Town of Trogir is situated next to Adriatic highway which connects Croatia with Europe.
- D1 road is used for arriving from north through Zagreb, Karlovac, Gracac and Knin
- Adriatic highway for arriving from Italy, through Rijeka Senj, Zadar and Sibenik
- Airport Split is in a distance from only 4 km distance from Trogir
- From every destination you have a connection with bus, through city of Split, wich is one of the mayor transit centers in Croatia. Trogir is in 30 km distance from Split
